January Tournament 1/28/12
What a great start to 2012! The weather started off a little cool but as soon as the sun came out it started to warm up and the fish went crazy for most. East Lake Toho was this months lake of choice and to spite the lake being very crowded it was a monster day of fishing for all the guys that was smart enough to come to the bank. With the fish thinking about spawning they were in the mood to eat. We had 26 boats that weigh in 9 limits, 80 bass, with 9 fish over 4 lbs and a grand total of 201.81 lbs All with over 100 boats sharing fishable water thats a great day for the club anglers. Rounding out the money spots in 5th place was the team of Luther Journagin and Craig Harless with 11.61 lb. 4th place went to Tom Welgos and Denise with 11.63 lb. Coming in 3rd was Bruce Bozeman ans Ray Riendeau with 15.04 lb. 2nd Place goes to Joe Lewis and Tane Crossley with 15.72 lbs. This months champion was the team of Art Hill and Mark Kirkland with a great bag tipping the scales at 16.30 lbs. This bag was anchored with 2 four pounders. Big fish went to Ray Riendeau with a nice fish going 5.81 lb. Great job guys and girls.
Just a foot note if you are going to bring a BLACK CAT to the restaurant be careful. It appears that the owners of said BLACK CAT had a pretty ugly day of fishing. It may be that the recipient of said BLACK CAT may have powers beyond explanation.
